Gujarati film Chhello Show — Last Film Show in English — is India’s official entry for the 95th Academy Awards or Oscar awards. this movie has beat movies like SS Rajamouli-directorial RRR, Anupam Kher-starrer The Kashmir Files and Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer Brahmastra to make it India’s official entry. The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12th, 2023, in Los Angeles.
- Gujarati film “Chhello Show” is a coming-of-age drama which is about a young boy’s love affair with cinema in a village in Saurashtra.
- There was a total of 13 films in different languages including Hindi Movies – Brahmastra, The Kashmir Files, Anek, Jhund, Badhaai Do and Rocketry– and one each in Tamil (Iravin Nizhal), Telugu (RRR), Bengali (Aparajito) and Gujarati (Chhello Show).
