- Siddhartha Mukherjee ( physician author) and Harvard economist Raj Chetty has been named for US citizens on Carnegie Corporation of New York’s 2020 list of ‘Great Immigrants’ for their role in combating COVID-19 pandemic.
About Siddhartha Mukherjee :
- Siddhartha Mukherjee received honour for educating the public and create an awareness about COVID-19 Disease through forums and his widely read essays.” he also received the Pulitzer Prize for his book ‘The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer’ which was published in 2011. along with it, in 2014, he was honoured with Padma Shri for his book . this was listed n the Time magazine’s All-Time 100 Nonfiction Books.
About Raj Chetty :
- In the year 2015, he was honoured with Padma Shri award and in 2013, he won John Bates Clark Medal of the American Economic Association. apart from this, Raj Chetty has been listed one of the top eight young economists in the world by The Economist and The New York Times in the year 2008.
