Good Governance Index 2021: Gujarat Ranks 1st – Amit Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation has released the Good Governance Index 2021 on 25th December 2021 on Good Governance Day at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
- the Good Governance Index 2021 has been prepared by DARPG.
- As per the Good Governance Index, GGI 2021, Gujarat state has topped in the index and followed by Maharashtra and Goa were ranked 2nd and 3rd place in the index.
- The GGI 2020-21 aims to include additional dimensions is to make GGI a more wholistic tool of measuring governance.
- It also covers a roadmap of inclusion of qualitative aspects, approach for inclusion of new indicators
