GATE 2023 Exam Schedule Released, Check Dates

GATE 2023 Exam Schedule Released, Check Dates – The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur released the exam schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023). GATE 2023 will be conducted on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2023 and will be conducted in two shifts; morning from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and afternoon from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

  • February 4th, 2023 – CS (9:30 am to 12:30 pm), AR, ME (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm)
  • February 5th, 2023 – EE, ES, XH (9:30 am to 12:30 pm), BM, CY, EC (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm)
  • February 11th, 2023 – GG, IN, MA, PE, XE, XL (9:30 am to 12:30 pm), AE, AG, BT, CH, EY, GE, MT, NM, PH, PI, TF (2:30 pm- 5:30 pm)
  • February 12th, 2023 – CE1, ST (9:30 am to 12:30 pm), CE2, MN (2:30 pm- 5:30 pm).

  • GATE 2023 will be conducted on 29 papers for a total of 100 marks.
  • The paper will have multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple select questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions.

Marking SchemeQuestions carry 1 mark and 2 marks
Negative MarkingFor a wrong answer chosen in a MCQ, there will be negative marking.

Likewise, For 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
No negative marking for Incorrect answer(s) to MSQ or NAT question.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level exam to test the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts.

GATE 2023 will be a computer-based test (CBT) that has been planned to conduct by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. The exam will be organized by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee).
