Fumio Kishida sworn in as 100th Prime Minister of Japan
On 4th October 2021, the Parliament of Japan has selected the former Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida to become the new Prime Minister of the country.
- Kishida has received 257 votes, from 249 parliament members and will serve as the 100th Prime Minister of the country.
- He has taken place of Yoshihide Suga, who submitted his resignation along with his entire cabinet.
