Dr. Meenakumari has been appointed as the new Director General of the National Psychiatric Research Group at Tambaram Sanatorium. She replaces K Kanakavalli has been transferred to the Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council on her request.
- Before this, Dr. Meenakumari served as Director of the National Institute of Psychiatry and holds additional responsibility as Director General.
