ICAO Aviation Safety Oversight Rating

ICAO Integrated Verification Mission (ICVM) was held in five areas, aimed at monitoring the approach of the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP). it was conducted in India from November 9 to November 16, 2022. As per the ranking, the Indian civil aviation system reached the 112th to 55th rank.

India Navy’s first indigenously developed ACTCM Barge

Indian Navy’s Captain Prashant Saxena AWPS (Mbi) launched an Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge, Yard 125 (LSAM 15) and launched at M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd in Thane. Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge has auxiliary systems developed by indigenous manufacturers; the Barge will have a service life of 30 years.

India-ASEAN Digital Work Plan 2023

The 3rd ASEAN Digital Ministers (ADGMIN) meeting was co-chaired by Devusinh Chauhan and Ivan John E. Uy, Secretary. ASEAN India Friendship Year 2022 marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of dialogue relations with ASEAN which culminated in ASEAN and India elevating their Strategic Partnership to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP).

  • The meeting was held under the theme: “Synergy Towards a Sustainable Digital Future” and focused on strengthening India-ASEAN relations in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).

12th World Hindi Conference to be held in Fiji from February 15

The three-day 12th World Hindi Conference is going to be conducted in Fiji from the 15th of February. The Ministry of External Affairs will organise the Conference with the Government of Fiji. The theme of the 12th World Hindi Conference is “Hindi – Traditional Knowledge to Artificial Intelligence”.

BPCL launches EV Fast Charging Highway Corridor on Delhi – Jalandhar Highway

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) launched Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Corridor on the Delhi – Jalandhar National Highway with fast charging stations at 12 BPCL retail outlets strategically located along the highway (part of NH-44).

  • The 750 Km long segment of NH-44 is the 4th such Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Corridor in the country, with fast charging stations at roughly every 100 Km on both sides of the highway.
  • Chennai-Trichy-Madurai, Chennai-Bangalore and Bangalore-Coorg were the first three Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Corridors were established by BPCL.

Senior IAS officer Pandurang Kondbarao Pole appointed Chief Electoral Officer of J&K

Senior IAS officer Pandurang Kondbarao Pole has been elected as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and Commissioner Secretary in the election department. the post was vacant since September 2022, when the then Chief Electoral Officer Hardesh Kumar was transferred and appointed as the Deputy Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India for a five-year term.

  • Pandurang Kondbarao Pole is a 2004-l batch IAS officer and will also serve as the Commissioner Secretary to the Government in the election department.

Priyadarshika Srivastava (IRS) appointed as the New Director of India’s Ministry of Health & Family Affairs

Priyadarshika Srivastava (IRS) has been appointed as Director of the Ministry of Health & Family Affairs, an order was issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). Srivastava is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2009 batch and was elected to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of 5 years.
