Scientists at the University of Mysore (UoM) have developed a new Covid-19 self-testing kit that can detect the COVID-19 virus in Just 10 minutes with an accuracy rate as high as above 90 percent. This kit is also known as Rapid Antigen Test and this kit has received approval from the Indian Council of Medical Research.

Steps to use Covid Self Test Kit?
Step 1: Open the MyLab app on your phone for the Covid Self Test Kit.
Step 2: Next, you will open your covid test kit.
Step 3: You will receive a pre-filled extraction tube, a sterile nasal swab, one test card, and a biohazard bag in the kit.
Step 4: Now, take the extraction tube and roll it several times in your both nostrils.
Step 5: You will check Tube in a test card in the next move.
Step 6: you will have to wait for 2 minutes and it can take more time to produce a result.
Step 7: You will be covid-19 positive if the result takes 5-7 minutes and you will be covid-19 negative if the result takes 15 minutes.
Step 8: The test card contains two sections: one is the control section and the other is the test section.
Step 9: If the result shows towards the control section, you will be negative for COVID-19. if the result looks towards both the control and test section, you are covid-19 positive.
Step 10: in the last step, you will click on the photo of your test card and upload it on MyLab or the coviself app.
