Chhattisgarh begins Indira Van Mitan Scheme

12 August 2020 Current Affairs: Chhattisgarh State has introduced a new scheme named “Indira Van Mitan”. the main objective of this scheme is to make the forest dwellers self-reliant. apart from this, State Govt will set groups of youth in 10,000 villages of tribal areas and they will be given all responsibilities to continue all forest-based economic activities. due to this move, forest dwellers will get opportunities to work and earn some money.

As per the Yojana, The Govt is planning to include more than 19 lakh families. in addition, groups will also see management the trees and will be able to get the forest produce from the trees in forest areas.
