Centre targets to achieve 175 GigaWatt of Renewable Energy capacity excluding large hydro by December 2022
The Govt of India has set a target of achieving 175 GigaWatt of Renewable Energy capacity excluding large hydro by December 2021, said by Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Power R. K. Singh.
- India has installed a total of 98.44 GigaWatt of renewable energy capacity including 1.49 Giga Watt of off-grid and decentralised capacity in the country till 30th June 2021.
- Durin 2018-19, The generation of conventional electrical energy has reduced to 1234.61 BUs in 2020-21 from 1249.33 Billion Units(BUs), was 1376.09 BUs.
