C.S. Venkatakrishnan appointed as CEO of Barclays
Indian-American banker C.S. Venkatakrishnan has been chosen as the group chief executive (CEO) of the British multinational bank Barclays.
- Venkatakrishnan has replaced Jes Staley, who stepped down recently, after serving the post since 2015.
About C.S. Venkatakrishnan (known as Venkat) –
- Venkatakrishnan was Born in Mysuru, Karnataka and studied higher education, and completed S.B (Bachelor of Science), S.M. (Masters of Science) and Ph.D degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
- He also was appointed as chief risk officer at Barclays in 2016.
- Also, was chosen as the head of global markets and co-president of BBPLC.
