Bansi Lal Bhat as chairperson of NCLAT
- The Ministry of Corporate Affairs(MCA) has taken decision to extend the tenure of Retd Justice Shri Bansi Lal Bhat. he will continue to serve as chairperson of National Company Law Appellate Tribunal(NCLAT) for the period of 3 months. On 15th March, he was chosen as acting chairperson because of SJ Mukhopadhaya completed his term in the office.
Bansi Lal Bhat:
- Before this, he has served as Principal District and Sessions Judge in Jammu, Srinagar Poonch, Reasi and Kathua. alsong with it, he gave his services as the Presiding Officer of Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Jammu for the period of One year.
- As a Special Judge Anti-Corruption Jammu, he served for two tenures and when Anti-Corruption Court was created for trial of CBI cases then he was elecetd as Special Judge of Court.
- in 2013, he was choesn as Additional Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and later, became the permanent Judge in the next year.
