Australia Awards Scholarship 2024 – Eligibility, Application Process, and Selection Criteria

Australia Awards Scholarship is offered to students from developing countries to undertake full-time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and TAFE institutions. The scholarships will be provided in the majority of top-ranking universities like Australian National University, Macquarie University, University of Sydney, and so on. Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade administers Australia Awards Scholarships to meet the developing needs of Australia’s partner countries.

Australia Awards Scholarship 2024 – Overview

Features of the Australia Awards Scholarship:

• It covers a 100% tuition fee.
• Covers payment of single economy class airfare to and from Australia (via direct route).
• Establishment allowance which contains one one-time payment of accommodation in Australia, books and other study materials.
• It includes living expenses as per the rate set by the department
• Overseas Student Health covers for basic medical expenses of the scholar.

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply for Australia Awards Scholarship;

• Citizens and residents of a participating country like India, or Bangladesh can apply.
• Must not be a permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand.
• The age must be Overs 18 years on February 1 of the scholarship’s commencement.
• Proficiency in the English language, with a recent score. IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL – iBT: 78, PTE: 58.
• Must meet the Australia visa requirements of the Department of Home Affairs.

Australia Awards Scholarship – Documents Required

• Certified copies of the following original documents along with their English translations (if required) – graduation degree certificate, Formal academic transcripts, and Birth certificate.
• Citizenship document’s certified copy.
• Resume concisely detailing work history, responsibilities and research experience.
• At least one academic referee report and one other referee report.
• Ph.D. or research-based master’s degree applicants must provide two academic referee reports.
• Copy of English language test (TOEFL, PTE or IELTS) result.
