Andhra Pradesh launches portal for marriage schemes – Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the website of YSR Kalyanamasthu and Shadi Tofa schemes. portal for marriage schemes aims to provide financial assistance for a daughter’s weddings in poor families.
- The schemes will help in preventing child marriages and school dropouts as the age eligibility is 18 years for the bride and 21 years for the bridegroom.
- They can apply for availing the scheme within 60 days of the marriage at village and ward secretariats.
