Aman Lekhi resigns as Additional Solicitor General of India – ADDITIONAL SOLICITOR General Aman Lekhi has resigned from his post on 4th March 2022 with immediate effect. Aman Lekhi represents the central government in several key cases involving law and order.

  • Lekhi is a senior advocate designated by the Delhi High Court in 2005.
  • He was appointed Additional Solicitor General in March 2018 and was reappointed in July 2020.
  • Aman Lekhi is the husband of Meenakshi Lekhi who is the Minister of State for External Affairs,

Lekhi wrote in a short letter addressed to Union Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju

  • “I am tendering my resignation from the post of Additional Solicitor General of India at the Supreme Court with immediate effect,”
