Alka Upadhyaya appointed as chairperson of NHAI: The Govt has appointed Alka Upadhyaya as chairperson of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Upadhyaya is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre and is serving as Additional Secretary, Department of Rural Development.
- The Additional Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Sanjay Bandopadhyay has been appointed as chairman of Inland Waterways Authority of India.
