AIU bans Gomathi Marimuthu for Four years
- The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has imposed a ban of four years on 2019 Asian athletics championship 800m gold medallist Gomathi Marimuthu. Gomathi has returned medal back and submitted to Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU). Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) found positive for anabolic steroid nandrolone.
Who is Gomathi Marimuthu ?
- Gomathi Marimuthu is a Track and field middle distance runner and hails from Tamil Nadu, India. she won the gold medal in the women’s 800 m at the 2019 Asian Athletics Championships at Doha, Qatar.
