  • The 7th Edition of World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF) 2019 will take place in Mumbai. Langur Mela, famous of Amritser city initiate

  • During the festival of Navaratri in Amritsar,, the Langur fair started for 10 days. This fair will end on the next day of Dussehra.
  • it is assumed that parents pray for a child and they take an oath to dress as langurs when wishes are granted.large numbers of people pray to god the Bada Hanuman temple, the temple is located in the Durgiana temple complex.

BrahMos supersonic cruise missile is tested for land-attack version by DRDO

  • DRDO has tested BrahMos supersonic cruise missile successfully from coast of Odisha. it is kind of land-attack version of BrahMos having range of 290 km.BrahMos is a kind of a supersonic cruise missile that can be operated by all indian armies for different purposes. it carries different versions in BrahMos .
  • The BrahMos missile is a result of India and Russia venture. in which DRDO has worked hard to use indian content instead of import.

in Nepal, Dashain Festival begins

  • Dashain, is called as Bada Dashain, is has been started in Nepal formally with Ghatasthapana. it is biggest and prolonged festival which is celebrated by Hindus.
  • The First Day which also celebrates as Navaratri’s start, began with the sowing of barley, wheat, corn and rice fields by performing Puja and maintaining a “Ghada” or earthen jar in a sacred location of the home or in shrines as per Vedic tradition.

  • The ex diplomat K P S Menon died at the the age 90 years due to age-related diseases.
