Indian navy joins PASSEX Exercise In Arabian Sea,Arabian sea,Indonesian navies,PASSEX

2-Days coastal defence exercise Sea Vigil-21 begins

On 12th January 2021, the 2nd edition of the biennial pan-India coastal defence exercise Sea Vigil-21 has been started by the Navy of India. the ‘Sea Vigil-21’ exercise will run till 13th January 2021.

  • 13 coastal States and Union Territories will be the part of this exercise with maritime stakeholders such as fishing and coastal communities.
  • The exercise will be conducted in the 7516 km coastline and Exclusive Economic Zone of India.
  • ‘SEA VIGIL 21’ Exercise will play a role in recognizing strengths and weaknesses and will make maritime and national security strength.
  • The Indian Navy organizes this exercise in every 2 years and it is a part of the major Theatre level exercise TROPEX [Theatre-level Readiness Operational Exercise]
