The Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest is conducted by VFX Auxiliary each year. The winner is offered an award of $33,000. Students from 9th to 12th grade who are enrolled in public, private, or parochial high schools in the U.S. can participate in this contest. Also, they can be enrolled in a home study program within the country.

Eligibility Criteria
Follow the requirements for applying for the Program:
- Students in grades 9-12 who have enrolled in a public, private, or parochial high school or home study program in the United States, its territories and possessions; or dependents of U.S. military or civilian personnel in overseas schools.
- Must be permanent residents or have applied for permanent residence status (the application for which has not been denied) to become a U.S. citizen.
- The age limit is 12 – 19.

Selection Process
The winner will be selected based on the artwork they submit and how well it explores the theme of patriotism.
VFW Auxiliary National Scholarship Prize Money Structure 2025
- First Place – $15,000
- Second Place – $7,500
- Third Place – $3,500\
- Fourth and Fifth place- $1,500
- Sixth and Seventh Place – $1,000
- Eight thrugh Nineteenth Place – $500.
