- Hakim Ajmal Khan was an eminent physician and social reformer.

- Ajmal became the founding Member and President of the All-India Muslim League.
- He had served as the president of the Indian Congress.
- Hakim Ajmal Khan was appointed the first Chancellor of Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University in 1920 and also served as a Chancellor till his death in the year 1927.
- On 29 December 1927, he passed away.
