WhatsApp E-Tickets: Easy How To Book Metro Tickets Online on WhatsApp – Chennai Metro allows people to book online tickets through the Meta-owned messaging and calling platform WhatsApp. On Wednesday, 17th May 2023, the new e-ticket has been launched in the presence of E Siddique, managing director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited. The passengers will earn a 20% discount on metro tickets booked through the texting platform.
How To Book Chennai Metro Tickets on WhatsApp
People must follow the below steps to book the metro tickets online on WhatsApp:
- Send a text message on CMRL WhatsApp number (+91 8300086000).
- The message will be displayed on all the metro stations of the city.
- Choose a preferred language, usually English or Tamil.
- You will be asked to either book tickets or search for a nearby metro station.
- Select the ‘Book Tickets’ option.
- You will be prompted to select your origin and destination metro station.
- Make payments via UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and more.
- A QR ticket will be sent to you on WhatsApp when the payment is done.
