Vinod Aggarwal elected as new President of SIAM

Vinod Aggarwal elected as new President of SIAM – Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has decided to appoint Vinod Aggarwal as its new president for 2022-23. Aggarwal who is serving as the MD and CEO of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles will replace Kenichi Ayukawa, the executive vice-chairman of Maruti Suzuki India.

• The SIAM also appointed Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles managing director (MD) Shailesh Chandra as the vice-president, Satyakam Arya; and CEO & MD of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has been appointed as the treasurer.

Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM):

• The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is a not-for-profit apex national body which represents all major vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers in India.
• The main function of the SIAM is to work towards facilitating the enhancement of the competitiveness of the Indian Automobile Industry, reducing the cost of vehicles, increasing productivity and achieving global standards of quality.
