UP Govt begins a scheme for Tharu Tribals
The State Govt of Uttar Pradesh has introduced a scheme that aims to take the unique culture of its ethnic Tharu tribe in the globe.
- The govt is planning to make a connection with Tharu villages in Balrampur, Bahraich, Lakhimpur and Pilibhit. it also includes the home-stay scheme.
- The main goal is to provide tourists with an experience of the natural Tharu habitat.
Tharu tribe
- The people of Tharu community are from the Terai lowlands.
- Most of are forest dwellers and others are working practices agriculture.
- Tharus believes in Lord Shiva as Mahadev and also call Narayan.
- Tharus people are living in both India and Nepal nations.
- In India, they live in UP, Uttarakhand and Bihar state.
