An enhanced version of PINAKA Rocket System tested by India


On .4th November 2020, DRDO has successfully tested the enhanced version of PINAKA rocket System. the test was conducted from Integrated Test Range, Chandipur off the coast of Odisha.

  • DRDO laboratories have worked on Pinaka’s design and development. laboratories are Armament Research and Development Establishment, ARDE and High Energy Materials Research Laboratory, HEMRL.

About enhanced version of PINAKA rocket

  • It will take place of the existing Pinaka Mk-I rockets. Mk-1 can reach the target within the range of 40km, however, the new version can reach the target 45 to 60 km away.
