MSME Union Minister Narayana Rane launches unique anti-bacterial fabric

The Union Minister for MSME Narayana Rane has launched the unique anti-bacterial fabric. the anti-bacterial fabric has been developed by Kumarappa National Handmade Paper Institute, Jaipur, under KVIC.

  • It will help create rural employment and contribute to environment protection.
  • The fabric is treated with an anti-bacterial agent extracted from cow dung which will prevent bacterial growth in the fabric.

DBT-NBRC developed project SWADESH for managing brain disorders

DBT-National Brain Research Centre (DBT-NBRC) has developed a unique brain initiative named “SWADESH”, which will focus on certified neuroimaging, neurochemical, neuropsychological data and analytics that are made accessible to researchers for managing brain disorders.

  • SWADESH is the first large-scale multimodal neuroimaging database and has been designed specifically for the Indian population with big-data architecture and analytics for various disease categories under one platform.
  • It will help in strengthening Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research and help scientific community come up with promising treatments.

Indian Railways Announces Theme-based ‘Bharat Gaurav Trains’ To Boost Tourism

The Ministry of Railways has announced a new theme-based circuit train for the tourism sector under the name Bharat Gaurav Trains. Trains will boost the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to expose India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and worldwide.

  • It will also help in promoting and attract tourism business in India.
  • Bharat Gaurav Trains can be operated by private operators and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
  • More than 180 trains for ‘Bharat Gaurav’ trains & 3033 coaches have been identified for Bharat Gaurav Trains.
