125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

On 23 December 2020, The Centre has formed a High-Level Committee (HLC) in order to honour the 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

  • The Home Minister Amit Shah will be the head of Committee.
  • The committee has other members such as experts, historians, authors, family members of Netaji and member associated with Azad Hind Fauj/INA.

NCAER predicts GDP to contract 7.3% in FY21

The National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) has predicted that the GDP of India will contract 7.3%in FY21. before it, it was estimated to -12.6% in September 2020.

ICICI Bank launches Infinite India portal

ICICI Bank has begun an online platform named Infinite India. the main purpose is behind is to provide support to foreign companies so that they can set up or develop business in India.

  • Along with it, it will also treat as a one-stop portal for offering banking solutions and other services such as corporate filings, licences and registrations, HR services, compliances and taxation.
  • This platform will also help ICICI Bank in strengthening its place in the multinational corporations (MNC) segment.

ADB announced a loan to Tripura for urban & tourism development

In order to develop urban areas and tourism in Tripura, The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has decided to give a loan. the loan amount is Rs 2,100 crore.

  • The loan amount will be divided into two parts. one ( Rs 1600 crore ) will be used for urban development and rest amount will be used for the tourism sector.
