Centre introduces Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules 2020
The Power Ministry has introduced the Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules 2020. this new rule will make consumers empower to get reliable services and quality electricity.
- On 21st December 2020, The Power and New and Renewable Energy Minister Shri R K Singh have announced the Electricity Rules 2020.
- As per the rule, the new connection will be released and modification, meter arrangement, Billing and Payment will be included.
- The distribution will supply 24×7 power to all consumers.
Status of Leopards in India 2018 report published
Shri Prakash Javadekar Ji (Environment Minister ) has published a report headlined ‘Status of Leopard in India 2018’.
- According to the report, leopard’s population has grown by almost 60 per cent in the last 4 years since 2014.
- At present, India has 12,852 leopards (this is estimated numbers in 2018). in the 2014 year, 7910 leopards were estimated.

- PM Modi suggested for making a library of traditional Buddhist literature and scriptures in the country.
- The library will have a collection of digital copies of Buddhist literature which will be received from across the globe.
- the role of the library is to translate these works and it will help in offering for scholars and monks of Buddhism.
- The 1st edition of India-Japan conference as Samvad-I was conducted in the year 2015. it was held in New Delhi.

The Sports Ministry has given its approval to add more four indigenous Games to 2021 Khelo India Youth Games. the Khelo India Youth Games 2021 will be organized in Haryana.

The added games belong to different parts of the nation and the states will achieve national recognition.

Congress leader Motilal Vora died due to Covid-19
On 22nd December 2020, The Senior and noted leader of Congress Shri Motilal Vora has taken his last breath at the age of 93. he was suffering from COVID-19 complications.
- He was the senior leader in the Congress party among others.
- He was born in Jodhpur in Rajasthan and started his career as a journalist.
- he had served as Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister for two times. first, he became CM between 1985 and 1988. also, as CM in 1989 for only 11 months.
- along with it, he also served as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh from 1993 to 1996.
- he served as Rajya Sabha member for 4 times and one time, worked as a Lok Sabha member, representing Chhattisgarh.
