1st Centre of Excellence for Skill Development in Power Sector

The Skill Development Minister Shri Raj Kumar Singh has commenced the first Centre of Excellence (CoE) for skill development. he inaugurated the centre in Gurugram Haryana.

  • It is set up in National Institute of Solar Energy’s campus.
  • The Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry have installed the new centre with the help of Indian Govt and National Education and Youth Ministry and France’s Govt.
  • The main role of this centre is to produce and release Training for Trainers, Instructors, Training of Assessors for the power and solar sector.

UP begins Varasat campaign in order to curb property & land-related disputes in rural areas

The state Govt of UP has started off a new campaign named Varasat. it aims to control property & land-related disputes in rural areas.

  • Also, it goals to eliminate the land-related issues in rural areas and will play a role in removing the exploitation of the villagers.
  • The Varasat campaign will run for a period of two months and will end on 15th February 2020.

Varasat scheme Features

  • The villagers will be able to get online and offline facilities in order to register their ‘Varasat’.
  • people who have a property in villages and they live in cities or villages. they will be able to register at the Tehsil-level.

Hawker Culture receives UNESCO Recognition

The Hawker Culture (Singapore), has been listed by UNESCO for ‘Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’.

  • The Hawker Culture is known as a Community Dining Room that offers street dining and culinary practices.

UAE: 20th IORA Council of Ministers Meeting

On 17th December 2020, IORA Council of Ministers (COM) Meeting’s 20th version has been organized through a video conference. the meeting was headed by United Arab Emirates (UAE).

5th Annual Global Technology Summit

On 19th Dec 2020, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made inauguration of the advanced Hypersonic Wind Tunnel (HWT) test facility. it was developed by DRDO.

  • After the US and Russia, India has become a 3rd nation who ha made a huge facility in size and capability.
  • It will provide the capability for hypersonic flow over a wide spectrum
