Indian Navy do Exercises in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

  • On 17th July 2020, the Navy of india has done its major Naval exercises in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. this exercises aimed to show of strategic intents against China during the current military conflicts in the Northeastern borders in Ladakh.

All NE states’s Capitals will be connected via rail network by 2023

  • The Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav ji has made an announcement that the connectivity of all capitals of North-Eastern states via rail network may be completed by the year 2023. Railways has started off a project in this regard.
  • Connected capitals of State – Assam, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh have been connected via railways. Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Meghalaya states capitals are being connected by railways.  Manipur is expected be connected in March 2022, Mizoram in March 2023, Nagaland in March 2023, Meghalaya in March 2022 and Sikkim in December 2022 via railway.

India begins Individual Bilateral ‘Air Bubbles’ with France, Germany and USA

  • Shri Hardeep Singh Puri ji has announced that India has made individual bilateral ‘air bubbles’ with France and the United States(US) countries. moreover, as per according to arrangements, Germany has also come ahead to start international flights and Lufthansa also is to start international flights. This agreement makes allowence to countries airlines to start its operations again.
  • Apart from this, India is also trying to set up agreements with UK, so that, both nation can operate 2 flights a day between Delhi and London. United Arab Emirates(UAE) is in list to make similar arrangements till 26th July, 2020.
  • United States America – Under agreement, American carrier United Airlines is going to operate 18 flights from 17th July to 31st July.
  • France – As per agreement, Air France is going to operate 28 flights between 18th July and 1st of August between airports Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Paris.
  •  air bubble – air bubble is called a bilateral arrangement that aims to make establishment of regulations and restrictions so that countries will be able to operate international flights.

Multidimensional Poverty Index(MPI) 2020 is a Charting pathways out of multidimensional poverty. as per index, India has registered a record biggest reduction in the number of People living in poverty. almost 273 million people comes out of the multidimensional poverty in the last 10 years.

  • The app will help to provide easeness the sourcing and processing of loan applications of street vendors under the Scheme by providing user friendly digital interface for Lending Institutions (LIs) and their field functionaries such as Banking Correspondents (BCs) and Agents of Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs)/ Micro-Finance Institutions (MFIs).
