Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan till Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October – In Tripura, the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan kicked off on September 17 across the state and will continue till Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October under the aegis of the Swachh Bharat Mission and Urban and Rural Development Departments. The theme of the Swachhta Hi Seva program is ‘Youth vs. Garbage’ and ‘Tripura vs. Garbage’, marking the idea of building a garbage-free state and country.
The cleanliness drives in habitations, institutions, and market areas are being conducted under the Swachhta Hi Seva. Sram Daan program, titled ‘Ek Tarikh, Ek Ghanata, Ek Saath”, has been taken up on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, to pay tribute to the father of the nation.
