Shashank Manohar left ICC Chairman post

  • International Cricket Council(ICC) chairman Shashank Manohar has lefted post before completing tenure. Shashank is an first independent chairman. His tenure was ended on 1st July 2020. Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja will assume the post as interim chairman.

About Shashank Manohar

  • In 2016, He was chosen as ICC’s first independent Chairman. before it, he has served as vice-president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2005 and alos became BCCI’s President in 2008.
  • Between 2008 and 2011, he served as president and later, he resigned from the post and ICC board elected him as chairman of the ICC.

About Imran Khwaja 

  • Imran Khwaja is a former president of the Singapore Cricket Association(FCA). in 2017, he was chosen as ICC’s deputy chairman.
  • At present, he is also serving as Finance & Commercial Affairs, Nominations, Development (chair) and Members.
