Sethuraman Panchanathan as head of NSF
- The Indian-American scientist Dr Sethuraman Panchanathan has been chosen as Director of the National Science Foundation(NSF) by the U.S. Senate. Sethuraman is going to take place of France Cordova. France Cordova finishes his six-year tenure in March 2020. Cordova has served as 15th director of the NSF. Dr Sethuraman Panchanathan will assume post from 6th July 2020.

National Science Foundation is one of top most American body supporting fundamental research which is related with non-medical fields of science and engineering.
- Sethuraman is serving as Executive Vice President, ASU Knowledge Enterprise Development and Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Arizona State University (ASU). along with it, Sethuraman serving as Director of the Center for Cognitive Ubiquitous Computing (CUbiC), Foundation Chair of Computing and Informatics at ASU and Professor in the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering (CIDSE), part of the Ira A. President Barack Obama appointed him as member of the National Science Board of National Science Foundation in July 2014.
