Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence – the University of Waterloo’s Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence is presented to domestic and international students who are pursuing the Engineering UG degree course at the university. The scholarship reward is provided by the Sandford Fleming Foundation which inspires students to pursue higher education in Canada.
The Sandford Fleming Foundation (SFF) specified 15 awards for graduating students in each of the following Engineering programs: Chemical (2), Civil (1), Electrical and Computer (3), Environmental (1), Geological (1), Management (1), Mechanical (2), Mechatronics (1), Nanotechnology (1), Software (1), and Systems Design (1). In each program, the award is offered to the student with the best academic record in the last 6 academic terms of their undergraduate program.

Applicants will have to meet certain eligibility criteria to take the benefits of the Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence Scholarship.
- Must be an engineering student.
- Must be a student at the University of Waterloo in Canada
- Must be a 4th-year student.

Sandford Fleming Foundation Award – Application Process
Students who are pursuing an engineering degree in the UG program at the University of Waterloo will be applicable for the Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence. No application process is available. the authority will consider students who take a particular program under engineering, the faculty of Engineering at the university on the basis of the award on a past merit record.
