RK Chaturvedi has taken charge as next Secretary in the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Chaturvedi has taken place of P.Raghavendra Rao who completed his tenure on 31 May 2020.

About RK Chaturvedi:

  • RK Chaturvedi is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from 1987-batch of Madhya Pradesh (MP) cadre.
  • before joining as Secretary, he did serve as an Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Culture.
  • He has also worked as Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and also, DG in the National Skill Development Authority (NSDA).
