Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in Chhattisgarh
- On the occasion of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary, The state govt of Chhattisgarh has begun “Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana”. this Yojana has objective to stimulate the rural economy in the state, during the Cronavirus pandemic.
- the Govt announced scheme in the Budget 2020-21. it is expected that more than 1.86 million farmers will be benefited under Yojana.
- As per Rajiv Gandhi Kisaan Nyay Yojana, The Chhattisgarh government is planning to spend Rs 5100 crore to boost state’s rural economy. this step will send grant amount to farmers’ accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer.
- Besides this, farmers will be given Amount of Rs 10,000 per acre for paddy, corn and sugarcane crops. it will be based on the registered and procured area for the kharif season. in addition, State Govt has also planned to offer a fixed amount per acre for pulses and oilseed crops.
