PM Modi Introduced first seaplane service of India in Gujarat

On 31st October 2020, PM Modi has India’s first seaplane service on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The seaplane service will help in connecting Kevadia ( Statue of Unity ) to Sabarmati (Rover Front).

About the seaplane service

  • The service will be offered by airline SpiceJet and SpiceJet will provide 19-seater seaplane on this route.
  • The route will cover the 200 long km distance from Kevadia to Sabarmati and it will take just 45 minutes.
  • The flight will have the capability to hold 12 passengers and one will have to pay Rs 4,800.
  • Every day, four flights will be carried form Ahmedabad to Kevadia.
