Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women (PFDW) offers the PFDW Memorial Scholarship every year to outstanding Pennsylvania female students who are in their sophomore or junior year at a recognized four-year college or university in the United States. The scholarship includes an award amount of $1,000, covering a part of the recipient’s tuition at their college or university.

Eligibility Criteria
Follow the Eligibility Criteria to apply for the program.
- Must be a female registered as a Democrat to vote in Pennsylvania. Must be registered in the sophomore or junior class of an accredited college or university pursuing a four-year degree and be in good academic standing.
- Must be an active participant in activities of the Democratic Party or possess a Democratic family background.

- A one-page essay explaining: Your need for the scholarship, Your professional goals, Your Democratic Party activities, Your family Democratic Party involvement
- Letter of recommendation from a faculty member within your major
- Letter of sponsorship from a PFDW club president or board member
- A sealed official transcript from your college/university registrar
