Every year, National Black Girl Magic Day is observed on February 15 in the United States. The day aims to celebrate the beauty, power, and resilience of Black women and also creates awareness of the issues faced by Black women, especially those that are discriminatory or racist.
History
In 2013, CaShawn Thompson created Black Girl Magic when she kicked off the movement #BlackGirlsAreMagic. The day is a reminder of how remarkable Black women are.
