History
In 1884, Namibia was a German colony under Otto Von Bismarck known as Deutsch-Südwestafrika. In 1988, South Africa decided to give Namibia its much-awaited freedom. On March 21, 1990, Namibia achieved its freedom and the country became the Republic of Namibia. Sam Nujoma was appointed as the first President of the Republic of Namibia.
