Domestic and international students who are pursuing any graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne can apply for the Melbourne Research Scholarship. Under the program, Around 350 new and continuing students will be selected.
The Scholarship covers a 100% tuition fee waiver and up to 110,000 AUD as a stipend. Students will be considered based on their academic merit and research potential. The professional experience and published works will be given preference. New incoming students are considered based on their admission applications. Continuing students will need to fill out a separate Melbourne Research Scholarship.

You must follow the requirements to be eligible for this Melbourne Research Scholarship.
- Must have applied for and met the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne, or
- Must be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.

Application Process
Applicants who have for a graduate research course by the application closing date for that course. you will not have to apply for this scholarship. Recipients will be provided and the applications will be automatically evaluated for a range of graduate research scholarships.
Selection Process
Eligible students who have ranked highest will be selected by a relevant selection panel based on their academic results from previous study and their research potential in their field of study.

Factors Affecting Scholarship Selection Decision
Completion of a degree at the same level as the research course for which the scholarship is sought, relevant professional experience, refereed publications, specialist medical qualifications or composition of original music may be taken into consideration.
