Kisan Credit Cards campaign
The Centre has made an announcement to distribute Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to 1.5 crore dairy farmers which are related to Milk Unions and Milk producing Companies within the upcoming two months between 01 June and 31 July 2020, under a special drive.
- The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying has published KCC application format with Department of Financial Services. KCC application will be for all State Milk Federation and Milk Unions.
Kisan Credit Cards campaign –
- The campaign will provide KCC to near 1.5 crore dairy farmers. The campaign is related to Prime Minister Atma Nirbhar Bharat package for Farmers.
- in the first phase, the KCC campaign will cover all farmers who are being as members of dairy cooperative societies and associated with different Milk Unions and who don’t have KCC.
- Farmers that are having KCC Cards they will be able to get their KCC credit limit enhanced based on their land ownership.
- the Interest subvention will be available only to the extent of Rs.3 lakhs KCC. besides this, without collateral general limit for KCC credit will be Rs.1.6 lakh.
- KCC campaign will help in ensuring more credit availability for dairy farmers associated with Milk Unions and assuring repayment of loans to banks.
