Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship 2024

The Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship is awarded to encourage enrollment in LPN or RN nursing programs by Kansans committed to practising in Kansas. Applicants will be given two scholarships valued between $3,500 and $4,500. You must sign an agreement/promissory note with the State of Kansas to practice nursing at a specific facility for one year for each year of scholarship support.

Award Amounts:

• Recipients enrolled full-time in a Licensed Practical Nurse program will get an award of $3,500 each school year.
• Recipients enrolled full-time in a Registered Nurse program will be eligible for $4,500 each school year.

Eligibility Criteria

• Acceptance to a Kansas nursing program (pre-nursing will not be funded);
• Commitment by an eligible sponsor* licensed by the state to fund up to half of the scholarship (unless they are a mental health treatment facility) and provide full-time employment to the recipient after licensure;
• Complete/submit the FAFSA, a priority deadline of April 1;
• State of Kansas Student Aid Application completed and submitted either online at https://sfa.kansasregents.org/ or submit the paper version to the Kansas Board of Regents;
• Must be enrolled in 12 credit hours or more.
