Students are offered an IPOET (International Programme Office for Education and Training) covering a 75% tuition fee waiver. The IPOET is funded by the Government of Sweden and administrated by Chalmers and is available to all fee-paying students.
IPOET Scholarships 2025
In 2025, Chalmers will issue approximately 35 IPOET scholarships. It is funded by the Swedish Council for Higher Education for fee-paying students.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on the applicants’ relative academic excellence, which primarily includes weighted average grade (at least 80%) but also the home university’s stature (including position on global ranking lists). The process will be the priority order of the application for Chalmers Master’s programmes.

Unrestricted – all of the current Master’s programmes at Chalmers.
IPOET Scholarships 2025 – Eligibility
- Must have 1st year Master’s programme.
- Citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who have paid tuition fees for Swedish university studies
IPOET Scholarships 2025 – Amount
- A 75% reduction of the tuition fees (4 semesters/2 year programme)
- You who excel during their first year of studies can get an increased reduction, which covers 85% of the tuition fees during the second and final year of studies.
- No funds are transferred to the Applicants.
