The Iowa Public Airports Association(IPAA) inspires students to make their careers in aviation by offering scholarship opportunities. IPAA is an organization which was founded to unite members of the aviation industry to educate them on the value of airports in Iowa and to champion more use of public airports. Each year, the IPAA Aviation Scholarship is offered to students pursuing careers in the aviation industry.
The scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis. The winning scholar will be an amount of $2,000, covering educational-related expenses such as tuition and fees.

Eligibility Criteria
must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a High School Senior with an expressed interest in pursuing an aviation degree. Applicant must attach their college, university, or technical college enrollment acceptance letter.
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s level Aviation Degree Program at an accredited college or university and plan to continue this pursuit in the following year OR
- Must be enrolled in an associates degree or technical college program pursuing a degree in the aviation field and plan to continue this pursuit in the following year.
- Must be a student that attends an Iowa college or university, a resident of the State of Iowa attending a college or university outside the State, or an active duty service member with an entrance point in Iowa at the time the award is made.
- Must Have achieved academic proficiency (grade point average) at the time of the application of 2.5 or better (based on a 4.0 system).
- Applicant must not have previously received the scholarship from the Iowa Public Airport Association.
- Applicants must complete all requested information on the scholarship application form. Submission of the form is considered your signature that the application information is accurate and complete.
