India’s first biomass-based hydrogen plant to come up at Madhya Pradesh – The first commercial-scale biomass-based hydrogen plant in the country will be installed in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. the plant will produce one tonne of hydrogen from 30 tonnes of biomass feedstock.

  • Watomo Energies Ltd and Biezel Green Energy are building this plant with an investment of Rs 24 crore.
  • The technology for a ‘thermally accelerated anerobic digestion (TAD) reactor’. it produces hydrogen, methane and biochar from biomass.
