Indian Army & India Air Force conduct joint exercise ‘Gagan Strike’

Indian Army & India Air Force conduct joint exercise ‘Gagan Strike’ – Army’s Kharga Corps and the Air Force conducted a joint exercise called ‘Gagan Strike’ in Punjab. The exercise ‘Gagan Strike’ will be held for four days and has been comprised of the deployment of attack helicopters as the aerial arm in support of ground forces carrying out drills, practising annihilation of enemy defences and deep penetration.

  • In the exercise, the Apache 64E and Advanced Light Helicopter WSI acted as potent weapons delivery platforms.
  • General Officer Commanding, Kharga Corps, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma spearheaded the joint exercise ‘Gagan Strike’ in Punjab.
  • Lt Gen Nav K Khanduri, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command were also present.
