Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) offers the Howard P. Rawlings Educational Assistance (EA) Grant every year to Maryjane High School seniors or degree-seeking undergraduate students to fund their education at any college or university in Maryland. The Scholarship includes an award of $1000 – $3000, covering tuition, books, and other fees.

Eligibility Criteria
Follow the requirements for applying for the Program:
- Who has demonstrated financial need?
- Students who are planning to enroll at a two-year or four-year Maryland college or university as a full-time (12 credits per semester)
- currently enrolled as a high school senior; or
- Have enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate student.

Selection Process
Submit either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) OR MHEC One App (for students who are unable to submit the FAFSA) by June 1, 2024.
