GAT-B & BET Exam Pattern 2025
The GET-B exam will be held for 240 marks, and the BET exam includes 300 marks. The questions will be Multiple Choice questions including two sections, Section A and Section B. The exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), and candidates will have a duration of 3 hours or 180 minutes to complete the exam.

Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET)

Section A: Section A will have 60 compulsory multiple choice questions of the level of 10+2 in the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Each question carries One (1) mark. There will be negative marking and for each incorrect response, half (1/2 or 0.5) mark will be deducted from the total marks.
Section B: Section B will have multiple choice questions of Bachelor’s (Graduate) level requiring thinking and analysis. There will be questions from Basic Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology and allied areas as per the syllabus of GAT-B 2023. There will be 100 questions out of which candidates will have to attempt 60 questions. Each question carries Three (3) marks. There will be negative marking and for each wrong response, One (1) mark will be deducted from the total marks.
