18th Bench of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) for J&K

Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT)

  • On 8 June 2020, DR Jitendra Singh inaugurates the 18th Bench of Central Administrative Tribunal(CAT) for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Jitendra inaugurated through a Video Conference.
  • The CAT Bench will handle service matters of government employees. Besides this, CAt will help in reducing the burden of various Courts and will provide a speedy relief in the terms of their grievances and service matters.
  • There are three important agencies of DoPT that are now operational in UTs of J&k and Ladakh they are : Central Administrative Tribunals (CAT), Central Information Commission (CIC) and Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
  • At present, CIC is hearing, related to the Right to Information (RTI) Act applications of applicants from the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
